Ronalds Zakis and Rihards Kuksiks each scored 27 points and Latvia made eight of 10 free throws in the final 1:28 to hold off FYR of Macedonia 90-82 and relegate FYROM to Division B of the U20 European Championship Men.
Reinis Strupovics added 17 points and 12 rebounds as well as two big three-pointers early in the fourth quarter in helping Latvia build a 10-point lead with four minutes to play, which proved enough for the victory.

Russia had another day in the office with an 88-74 victory over Turkey on Sunday to finish perfect at 3-0 in Group B of the U20 European Championship Men, while Lithuania advanced against a tough Greece side 84-75.
The Lithuanians needed to win by three points or more to move into the Qualifying Round but needed a frantic fourth quarter comeback to get past the Greeks.

Russia remained undefeated at 2-0 in Group B of the U20 European Championship Men after holding off Lithuania 69-61 in Nova Gorica.
In the other game Greece surprised Turkey 63-62 to leave the other three sides even with 1-1 records.
