Looking around Europe this week, I noticed that Ernstes Kalve (pictured) underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and it's questionable if the talent wing prospect will be available for the Latvian Basketball Federation this summer - either at EuroBasket 2007 or the U20 European Championship.
And it spurned a thought. Kalve was coming off a great summer at the 2006 U20 European Championship, where he averaged a tournament high 20.5 points per game to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals.
